I am currently researching and writing The Third Reich at War, 1939-1945, the third and final volume in a three-volume history of Nazi Germany, to be published by Penguin Books in the UK and the Penguin Press in the USA (see Books). This will take about two years, so that I anticipate publication in the spring of 2008.

I am committed to writing the nineteenth-century volume in the Penguin History of Europe, edited by David Cannadine.

I have also completed a chapter on the origins of Nazi ideology, to be published in the Shorter Oxford History of the Third Reich, edited by Jane Caplan, in 2006.
